Talent for Tabitha!

American School in London-Fourth Grade Class- Deserve a special thanks for all their hard work. The following letter which we received from young Ellie Martin and her fourth grade class explains it all:

April 23, 2004

 Dear Tabitha,

My name is Ellie Martin I am nine years old .This year my New Years Resolution was to help other people. I wanted to chose this New Years Resolution because it didn't just help me it helped other people. My mom, Alison Martin, works with Tabitha UK and I thought this was a good cause.

We had a bake sale that almost all the fourth grade participated in ! We asked everybody to make at least ten items. Each item was about fifty pence but at the end we made it two items for fifty pence. We earned seven hundred seven pounds and sisty nine pence. Our goal was to raise enough money for two wells , but we raised enough for twelve or more.

We all hope the people in Cambodia can enjoy the water today.

Sincerely

Ellie Martin and the Fourth Grade

Roots & Shoots support Tabitha

The Ryleys School in Cheshire joined 'Roots & Shoots' early in 2005. It is
the Jane Goodall Institute's Environmental and Humanitarian program for
young people.

As well as recycling projects and interest in animal conservation, we have
introduced into our program some fund raising events for Tabitha. Our
efforts began with a plant sale during the early phase of our organic
garden. At the School Summer Fair in June, Year 5's organized a family quiz
and contest to Guess the Chimp's Name.  In total there was enough money to
subscribe to a well for clean water.

St. Andrew's School, Bedford - Big thanks to all the children, Staff and Parents at St. Andrew's School for raising enough money for 3 wells. Special thanks to Children of Prep 1H.

Eagle House School, year 5 children in Sandhurst, Berkshire. Inspired by teacher Catherine Lewis' visit to Cambodia earlier this year, the students in Year 5 held a sponsored swim which raised an amazing £848.00, enough for 14 wells. The efforts of the incredible students at Eagle House school will provide a total of 70 families with safe clean water. Well done Eagle House ! (click pictures to view)
